Functional changes
If you want to change an existing feature in a way that doesn't affect the price of your app, follow these steps:
Notify the App Center Team about your deployment plans in your partner Slack channel, briefly describing the updates.
Deploy the feature to the Test environment and let the App Center Team know.
The App Center Team will ensure that the test app works as intended and provide feedback. If everything is ok, the App Center Team will approve the release.
After the approval, deploy the feature to the Production environment and notify the App Center Team again.
The App Center Team will ensure that the Production app works as intended and provide feedback.
Depending on the feature, the Security and SRE teams may also need to check it. In that case, your Account Manager will discuss it with you.
Major changes
If you want to make a major change to your app, especially one that would affect pricing or monetization—such as introducing a new in-app product—follow these steps:
Notify the App Center Team about your deployment plans in your partner Slack channel, briefly describing the updates.
Discuss the update with your Account Manager, the QA Team, and the App Center Project Manager. When all is settled, you can start development.
When you are ready, deploy the changes to the Test environment and notify the App Center Team.
The App Center Team will ensure that the test app works as intended and provide feedback. If everything is ok, the App Center Team will approve the release.
