Semrush Copilot is an AI-powered dashboard assistant that provides recommendations and alerts about your website’s SEO. In order to see Copilot in your dashboard, you need to first create a folder.
Once you have a folder set up, Copilot will analyze six different tools and reports within Semrush to provide you with personalized recommendations to improve your SEO.
Recommendations can be related to:
- Technical issues
- New keyword opportunities
- Competitor rankings
- Dropped keywords
- Unnatural backlinks
- Decreased Authority Score
- Backlinks lost
- Link building ideas
- Broken pages
- Traffic drop

At the top of the Copilot area, you can choose to view recommendations from one select folder or all of your folders at once. You can also quickly copy the text of your recommendations to make it easy to share with your team or client.
Also, you’ll notice a thumbs up/thumbs down icon on the right-hand side of each block. These give your feedback to the product team so we can further improve the quality of Copilot’s recommendations.
With every recommendation, you can click directly on the action and Copilot will send you straight to the tool where you can further investigate the issue and take action.
For example, if Semrush Copilot alerts you of new technical issues found on your site, you can click through to go right into the Site Audit report, where you can see the details.
How does Semrush Copilot work?

The algorithms use SEO data in the Semrush database to learn about your website and folder. This algorithm never uses any personal information (email, phone, etc.).
